I am a man of simple needs.

I have a lot of music in FLAC format that sits in directories and subdirectories. It's mostly live music so it's not going to be recognized as Artist, Song, etc., by a media player.

All I want is a simple, free media player that will let me see a directory tree, show me the files, and let me add a bunch to a playlist and then, well, play them in order. I don't need fancy nothing. Foobar may be great, but it's completely confusing to set up, and waaay more than I need.

The smaller in size the better. Help is appreciated.

I seem to have a possible solution - Audacious. Simple, small and easily organized by folder structure and files. Was super simple to set up as well.

I will play around with it over this weekend are report back.

So far so good. This thing is really straight forward to setup and operate and is a pleasure to use. And it default to gapless play which is a complete must-have for me. And it's totally free with all the features. I'm done.
