Hi Scott! My dad owned a 1967 Magnavox AM/FM/Phono console with a Micromatic player. I remember seeing it out of the console during a repair. First, it did have rubber idler wheels on the topside which are definitely worn/dried out by now. Second, the automatic changer mechanism on the underside is certainly full of dirty and hard old lubricant, or no lubricants at all (oily lubricants). You've got to have that phono unit disassembled cleaned, and rubber parts replaced. Also, the 33/45/78 rpm flip over needle is still available for the ceramic cartridge, so definitely change that, and my dad's micromatic even had a crude stylus force gauge under the tonearm. The fact that it still works on two speeds is a good sign.
