I had CDM1SEs for about 12 years and loved them - great speakers.

Thank you for the warm welcome.. I am slowly un earthing hidden treasures I am finding around my parents home...this is a temporary setup until the new home is built in new braunfels tx..btw my iPad is the dedicated streaming device. I posted the pics plus surprise!!! I reconnected my long lost tape deck... This JVC KD&A77 was my favorite and she still sounds a-ok....looking to post more stuff either tonight or tomorrow... Btw I did take the tape deck off to the marantz after the photo! I really did not want to overheat the system... Cannot wait to learn more about my passion!

Thanks!!! I could not believe how fortunate I was to find those Frazier's!! Right here in New Braunfels! IMO they sound so darn sweet!!! I still have not tired of them... I'm going to build custom stands for them and try to do a interesting cosmetic upgrade to them this spring...

I wanted to put a mahogany shell around them...possibly make them appear to look more like some of my old Altec Lansing or Klipsch speakers I use to own....not really sure.? I might just wrap them in all black vinyl???..do you have any suggestions?... Btw thanks for the question..

Wasn't really thinking of suggestions, more curious about a couple of things. For example; what height/style stand would enhance the sound of a speaker of that configuration, given the "tweeter at ear height" guideline. I would think it would do better up off the floor at least a little bit. Also, veneer vs. paint vs. strip-n-stain vs. something else.
