Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Not so funny now.

Pretty much Oxbridge types to a man. It's one of the virtues of their humour: runs from the sublime to the ridiculous, and works for different people on different levels. Definitely among the most erudite comedians ever. Few today could get away with quoting Kierkegaard and Bergson.

hahahaha, few could understand Kierkegaard and Bergson then, either. It was the presentation that was funny, yet I'd wager that most first time viewers of MP over the past two generations wouldn't have any clue. Well played, sir. ;)

I came here to read about the world of hifi, I wasn't expecting some kind of Spanish Inquisition. Oh, wait.........where are my pointy cushions ?

No one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition! But I'd rather have a Spaniard tie me to a comfy chair than have a Frenchman fart in my general direction.
I'm with you on that. Look what a french fry fart did to my poor parrot.
