most creative album covers

One of my old ones.
Liked it because it was different.

Oh yeah, I like that. I still have my old Blind Faith album with the naked girl on it holding the hood ornament. I can't forget Kiss' Destroyer cover as well.

The covers I have for the Quicksilver Messenger Service and It's A Beautiful Day are the ones by Capital Records, I do not think they are the ones you are looking for?

Another set that I also like are the Molly Hatchet covers.

I went to the Beatin' the Odds concert in...'80? I got one of the drumsticks.

Another great Tull cover:

Wish I had an image of "Thick as a Brick" that had legible text, but it would have to be pretty huge.

Thank you mr. Slug. These are the very covers I had in mind. Globe was the cover art designer. BTW. The live tracks of Happy Trails are some of the most interesting, massive hall sounding records ever recorded, almost as good as Big Brother. I miss the ambience!

Let's try "Broadsword" a different way.

Funny thing is, sometimes I see the image, sometimes not. Maybe I'm just delusional, but this should be more consistant anyhow:

Love Mark Lanegan's cover for "Scraps at Midnight" and the band DRINK ME's cover for "Sleep" (after hearing the songs it all makes sense).

Oh, and Sonic Youth's Evol and Bad Moon Rising.

"Roxy Music always have great covers."

What you may or may not know is that one of the women is a transsexual :)

When I worked at Atlantic I was stunned to hear that :( Oh well!

I read somewhere that the original Caress of Steel was supposed to have a steel-grey background, but somebody screwed up and gave it that nasty dull gold-copper color in the final print. Everybody was P.O.'d (at least as much as Canadian folks get :D ), but it was too late to reverse the error.

from the sublime to the twilight zone.....

My little contribution....

Emmylou Harris ROSES IN THE SNOW
Your generic Brunhilde
Iggy Pop
Commander Cody's LOST IN THE OZONE
Neil Young DECADE
Zombies ODYSSEY AND ORACLE
Byrds SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO
Leonard Nimoy's immortal SPACE ODYSSEY

I always liked that one that Ron Cobb did for that Bay Area band, but I can't seem to find a picture of it.
