Living in a 1 bedroom apt in Staten Island has forced me to leave my gear at my home in Vegas. I currently listen to my Linn LP 12 with rega rb300 and grace f9e ruby thru Schitt Mani and ifi and dark voice 336se amps. I have used Shure 840 and Sennheiser hd650. I picked up a non working k702 at a goodwill for $5. Changed the cable and...sonic bliss. Can't believe how amazing these sound. My search is over. Anyone with similar experience

No experience with the k702. Vegas is a long way from Staten Island! What gear do you have there?

Way too .much to list. Post some photos

You found a 65th anniversary model at a goodwill? Those have become somewhat collectible at this point. Have kind of given up on acquiring one for a while.

This version of the 702 is an excellent mid-fi can. You lose some sound stage from other versions of the 702, but gain more bass and tonal balance.

You have way too many speakers and I'm close enough to Vegas to assist with donations. ;)

Lord almighty...those JBLs

Had the AKG k701s when they first came out and found them really tinny honestly. I really really wanted to like them but they were just voiced so badly and the headband was atrociously uncomfortable.

My K701s have been collecting dust since I got my K401, K501, K240 Sextett and K240DF. Something changed with the tuning of the K701 and I’m not sure if it was for the better.

The 702 anniversary has more oomph between 100-200htz than the 701 for sure
