Orange tabby males are special. Every one I've owned was loaded with personality and affection.

Believe I read somewhere that about 95+ % of orange tabbies are male, along with about 98% of tortoise shell kitties being female. We had a Big orange tabby some years ago, and he was a real sweetie - sadly missed, now...

I'm on my second orange tabby. First was female that previous to us was left alone in apartment too much. Eventually fit in.
Current one is a male with a great personality. I'm his "best buddy in the world." Follows me everywhere in house. He was rescued from a window well in January with half an ear injured, missing. Got him at Paws with his buddy, Cleo.

Larisa (Lari), now 2 years old. These pics are from one of our listening sessions in the basement last fall. She is 50% Siberian Husky and 25% White German Shepard and Gray Wolf. Also 100% a love-bucket.

She really is a sweetheart. Very playful but never aggressive towards people. She also seems to have a particular like for hard-bop Jazz.



That said she will express her dissent towards things like going inside too early or me messing with her:

Both my listening buddies pass on this year. I was devastated. Swore I wouldn't even get a goldfish. My wife talked to me about another. Took me a bit to decide not to be set against another. So my new listening buddy. "Fifolet"....FeFe for short.
