What I want is a box into which I can rip CDs and vinyl. I would like it to have a CD player built in. I would like it to rip vinyl without a computer. Does such a thing exist?

My local audio shop uses a ALESIS MASTERLINK ML-9600 to rip vinyl/tapes/etc. A bit pricey, but should do what you want.

Cocktailaudio X40 does just about everything. Hard to find another with analog inputs or a state of the art DAC.
