How do you know if it worked? I used the Amazon link, but the web address bounced around a few site addresses and then brought up the normal page. Does that just mean a cookie got installed and all is well? I hope it went through--this seems pretty cool.

I am not positive but I think you got it pretty much about right. Thanks for using the links.

Does this affiliate deal go on forever, or is it a limited-time thing?

We are now part of all these companies affiliate programs, so its anytime you like

I forgot to mention that if there is a particular online site that any of you shop at frequently, to please drop me a line. I will inquire if they have an affiliate program. Thanks

Just a reminder that the best way you can support Audiokarma is by clicking on our affiliate links when shopping on the net. Its painless and our affiliates help us to stay on the air.

Thank you

Does AK get a kickback if we click on one of the Google adds in the top banner? If so is it necessary to buy something? I am thinking that if we want to buy something from a store that is not an affiliate, we could go to the website (assuming we have cookies enabled) and browse for what we want, then go back to AK and it will appear in the banner. Click on that and AK gets $$. Will this work? I thought of this because I just bought something at LL Bean and then it appeared in the banner on AK.

Hi,

Yes we do but technically we are not allowed to tell you to click on the google links. The reason it showed you LL Bean was it picked up on a cookie in your browser. It can also show ads of products that are being discussed in a thread.

Thanks for your support.

I have Noscript plugin installed in Firefox to get rid of spyware and malware. I want to make sure AK is getting credit when I make my purchases using these links. I can enable or disable any script I want. Can you tell me which one to enable? Google ads, or something?

It would be done through Viglinks. Thanks

Hi Folks,

Just a quick reminder to use our affiliate links. As previously mentioned, its a great way to support our site. Have a great day

Grumpy

Wow, I bet most AKers don't even know about this. Have you thought about adding a popup on the site so no matter what page we enter the site, we'll see a quick way to help AK out?

I have been looking into other ways to let folks know about these links. Thanks and have a great day.

Hi folks, just a reminder that the best way to support Audiokarma is buy using the links in the first post of this thread. It costs you nothing but our affiliates help us keep the lights on. Thanks for your consideration.

As the original post with sponsoring businesses is over a decade old, is the list still accurate, or has enough time passed to warrant an update? Just curious, as I just advised a BT poster to advertise his business 's products in this forum.
