Hello All !!!

First of all, as written in the title, I'm a French new vintage enthusiast and hope you will accept my english approximate writing...

I came into the vintage audio few years ago when I looked for a second hand amp as a spare for my 50's birthday party. Looking at ebay or french site, I saw some Scott 255s adds and its look attracted me a lot !
After reading different topics here or on French blogs, I decided to buy one as my first vintage audio component !

I found this nice pair Amp + Tuner :

They are in very good conditions (thanks to the seller) and I still have to change all caps of the amp...

Reading Scott history, I then discovered their Pro 100 speakers and again, it became attraction !

Few month ago, I had the luck to find a pair of Pro 100 for sell and I quickly called the seller to buy them :

Here during my first tests and comparison with my previous speakers...
I am far away from an audio specialist but I really like the sound and look of these speakers (tested with a simple 90's Pioneer amp) ! So great bass !!!

My goal now is to :
- change the amp and speakers capacitors
- try to change the woofer which have been replaced by the previous owner
- optimize the wires connexion on the speakers
And then listen, listen and listen...

My other hobbies are vintage cars (I have a 1974 Alfa Romeo coupe) and slot racing. My avatar resumes this !

Best regards to all of you !
Bruno

Perhaps @ leboncoin.fr ?

...vintage cars (I have a 1974 Alfa Romeo coupe)...

A passion we share, except my 1959 Giuletta coupe, a former racing (rally) car, is sitting in pieces @ one of the "outbuildings" @ my father's compund in The USA. A restoration project my brother and I started in the mid 1980s, postponed in the early 1990s, and never quite got back round to completing. <SIGH>

Great intro, thank you for that one!

My English is pretty lousy (I never speak English) but I have survived for more than 8 years in this forum! :D

Welcome! :)
