Thanks for this info guys. I'm using a T'Berg 3002A/3006A. Both very little use, under a year, despite their ages — I'm hoping that means a long happy life. I'd like to make the parts-upgrades mentioned in the thread, not just to tweak sound, but as preventive medicine — even if it's only been played for a few months, a 30-year old cap is still 30 years old.
Is it possible to get details? I can do the work, I just need to know what to get and where to put it. Thanks.
