UPDATE: GOT IMAGES TO WORK!
Hey all,
Thought I would take a moment to introduce myself! My name is Jon. I am an automotive technician by trade. I live in Minneapolis, and in just the past 6 months I’ve entered into the world of vintage audio equipment. I LOVE the mid-century aesthetic, and vintage audio fits with that beautifully
Current setup is an inexpensive 70s Monteverdi receiver coupled to a pair of Sansui SP-1200s and a Bluetooth adapter...I run only digital music (please don’t crucify me) bc I’ve never owned records and don’t intend to start down that $$$$ path now.
I also JUST purchased a Marantz 2220B that I am SO EXCITED to pick up! This will be my primary rig. Might try to resell the Monteverdi or fix its static-y left channel...dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I opened it once & was overwhelmed lol.
I also have a gorgeous 70s Zenith stereo console that I craigslisted for a song... it doesn’t have its receiver anymore, so my plan is to try to hook its speakers up as a “B” set...I will be gutting the radio unit & turntable regardless to put a bar in the center of it.
(The photos of the receivers are my actual units, the photos of the SP-1200s and Zenith console are not my images but are exactly what I own)
Thanks all for this resource! I already have found a PDF copy of the manual for my SP-1200s on here; I have many questions to come & hope to be able to gain a better understanding of the internal workings of my audio equipment.
