Hey, what was the ticket number that won the NHT speaker raffle? I was there on Saturday, but family kept me away on Sunday. What a great time, and everyone was so nice!

For those that do not know NHT was Kind enough to supply us with these speakers to raffle at the Fest.

They sound Amazing and to get a 600.00 set of speakers for a mere $1.00 was even more so.

Retro Stereo was the winner and one LUCKY Dawg for sure.

    Thank you NHT !!!!

Any looking for a small very wife friendly looking speaker that will sound out of this world needs to look for these.

Dave, I had told her that I might pick up a cassette deck, if there was one available, that was cheap and halfway decent. I walked in carrying the CT-F850, and she asked me how much it was. I told her it was $1! She looked surprised and said, "That was ALL you spent?" (She knows me SO well.) I said, "Yeah. BTW, they threw in some other stuff with it." "Tapes and cables?" "Not exactly. I got an amp (SA-6700) a tuner (TX-6700) a CD player (PD-6050) a pair of speakers (Project 120's) and a pair of headphones (SE-205)" Her reaction was priceless: "ANOTHER pair of SPEAKERS???"

Anyway, now I have to empty out the home office, as there are currently 6 pair of speakers, three receivers, as well as the working 2-ch and 2 desks, and file cabinets. BTW, when I hit the border, the customs officer, a sweet young lady who was all of 25, saw the pile of boxes in the back of my car, and decided that it was more trouble than her time was worth to write up all these pieces, especially when I told her that the stuff was older than she was. She waved krimney and me on, and didn't ask about any other stuff that may, or may not, have been in the car.

So, now I get to do a head-to-head of my Marantzes and EPI 100s, long the favourite in this house, with a full silver Pioneer system. Gotta get busy! Thanks, again, Dr. Strangelove, and everybody who brought us AKFest 2005!

Well, since they have not yet been unpacked, let me refresh your memory. I stole this from Kam's original thread.

Just got home from Detroit and the NHT's were the first items out of the truck!

Actually, I bought 30 chances to win thosed NHT's, so they cost me $30 not $1 :naughty:

Oh, and one more thing, they had the drawing on my birthday, so who else could have possibly been more deserving? :smoke:

All kidding aside, you guys are right, I am one lucky dog! :D
