Official Grateful Dead Thread

I recently picked up a few hundred SHN CDs from a friend who was tossing them. Maybe 100 Garcia / Dead CDs, over 100 Phish, a few other artists. I'm not really set up to use them or convert them to a format that is easier to play for example in my car. Is there any interest this type CDs and where could I find them a home? Need to clean out my basement and not looking for any $ for them.GD + Phish CDs.JPG

Earlier today:

I got this show in my first batch of taper tapes in the 80's
low generation tape done well from a show that was played & taped well
Awesome stage banter throughout this show.
This audience tape sounds nearly as good as a soundboard...
their harmony is another story but still a helluva performance

Played it 5x in a row while reading the Archive.org reviews
This is my favorite review for this show:
"...That said, it's still one of the ballsiest shows the band ever performed, the off the hook energy being fueled by the rowdy but appreciative crowd. In spite of some rather skeevy vocals, this live wire performance is a true gem, due mainly to its rather primal nature, reminiscent of June '68.

The band might not have been in the best mood for this concert as many of these numbers are played with a certain brutality that leads you believe that the racetrack was left in smoldering ruins at the conclusion of the short but incendiary set closing Lovelight.

This being a festival gig, some of the numbers are truncated and perhaps rushed a bit, but not the raw Cumberland Blues or what might be the hardest ever Hard to Handle. Sadly, the Good Lovin' is cut, it's unclear how much angry jamming is missing.

The highlight of course, is the rip your face off version of Mason's Children that features two blistering extended instrumental breaks following some hilarious stage banter.

This is quintessential Grateful Dead and I have to give it five stars now, warts and all. (98 pts)"

Bringing this onward so I can track it easier....

Here's the list of shows I've played since I started this thread plus some from the "Recorded Live" playlist thread.
I'm trying to play all my GD live shows and have bounced from era to era and added many so this should help keep track.
This will be a work in progress...
