Pause button stuck on Marantz MCD910 cassette deck?

Hello! I recently picked up a Marantz MCD910 cassette deck but the pause button is stuck in the down position. Does anyone know how to fix this? I haven't opened it up yet since I'm not very mechanically inclined and didn't want to risk it.

If anyone knows how to troubleshoot this issue, I'd really appreciate the assist!

Think your going to need to open it up just to see the linkage. You should also check online for the manual at HiFi Engine. Need to be a member but its free to join.

Have you pushed it further down to see if it will unlatch?
