Warning... if you are using iTunes as a streaming media server to supply music to other devices (i.e. other than an iPod) please note that the latest release of iTunes apparently has some proprietary changes that can render it incompatible with other devices.
Apple appears to be doing this deliberately to make it difficult or impossible for third party products to integrate with iTuners.
Do your homework before you upgrade your version of iTunes... as there is no way to go back once you have taken that step.
