That is beyond awesome. Makes it easy to upgrade some of those ageing caps too, just dont put them in!

Any idea of a production date? Were other kits available? Kits like this may be the reason some of the very early units have odd serial numbers.

That looks like a tuning cap on the right. Not sure why that would be in a pre-amp. It also looks like there is a bag of small tools included. A nice touch.

You would think it would need more than 3 tube sockets for that. It's also odd that they are mounted horizontally.
