I came across one of these on Craigslist, and couldn't find much info through google. I was wandering if anyone had any experience they could share about the this? And if it would be a good intro into Tubes?

Found an old auction, this was in the description:

"Label on back reads "Model RDV 16, RVA 001894, Radio Corporation of America, RB 0 2074". Inside t are two speakers, one stationary and one removable with cutout handle on back. Phonograph arm has a raised Reader's Digest emblem which says "R D". Speed dial reads " 16 33 45 78 Rej On Off". Balance, Treble, Bass, Loudness dials to the right with the Reader's Digest logo near the top."

I can snag it for about $125.
My apologies if this should this go in Dollars and Sense.

Without seeing the guts you don't know what amp is in it. My guess would be a small SE tube amp, perhaps a 193 series. Couldn't go wrong if they would take $75 bucks.

Last 2 piece console I grabbed had a Maggy 185 amp,,, got it for 100bux less than that... not sure where you're located, so opportunities vary...
Seems this may need to go in $$ n sense...

This Reader's Digest Stereo phonograph sure looks RCA Victor to my eye. Styling and the record changer look like early Stereo RCA practice. I could be wrong, but this looks very RCA in styling and arrangement.

I see bass and treble controls. Not a bargain basement deal I'd guess, even with the Readers Digest label. They were not noted for hi fi, but had a lot of record collections. Still, seems like $125 is a bit steep.
