I've had this little receiver for about a year. Made in 1970, At 30 watts it's a few more than most Scott's of that period. It doesn't have any to spare so this is the one to get for the money.
When it arrived my first impression was the tuner is super good and the rest of it worked well and sounded ok. After using it for a year I find it to sound really good. Nice clean sound from the bottom to the top. It doesn't sound like tubes or ss. It doesn't have any flavor at all.
It works really well with
Electro Voice Empire,
Dynaco A40XL,
Pioneer CS99A,
With these not as well due to lack of power.
Rectilinear 111 Highboy.
Advent OLA
And most of my sealed bookshelf speakers are in the middle.
