As a web developer elsewhere,
I stay away from add-ons with no real support from the original coder.
Ak is a mighty big site with a huge database of comments and posts -
sure wouldn't want to corrupt anything here with unsupported tools.

But its all up to Luther and Grump, innit?

FYI: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/th-conversation-search.1721/ Free to download and install. Add-on says it is "not supported" but I have used it for five years on four other XF installations and have no issues at all. Works with ElasticSearch also.

Downside ...

"Note: this will add a LOT of data to your search index if you have a lot of conversations on your site."

But that is up to the powers to be. But seems like extra overhead and maybe why its not native.

Upside... can find what I am looking for. Easy to say for a guy who doesn’t do the db maintenance.

You can display conversations by a selected user. The filter is in the centre of the bottom of the index.
