Slew rate quality point

    All I can add to this thread is that The slew rate of my NRG A401M mono blocks is apparently 800 and my tech was awfully excited at that spec when i told him.

    Slew rate to me tells me how efficient an amp is at high frequencies. A lot amps are flat a 1 watt to 100,000 hz. No so much at full power. In fact a lot amps are designed not to be. All big power does above 20,000 or 10,000 hz is damage drivers, stress the amp its self , generate a lot of heat, and amplify distortions if our ears can hear them cause listening fatigue.

    The way I understand it, it does not pertain to an extended frequency range.

    It's how fast and how much an amp can respond to dynamics, as in going from soft to loud passages, without clipping / distortion.
