I have a Sonotone 9TA cart in a vintage changer that tracks at about 5 grams.

The 9TA is the low compliance version designed for heavier arms and is not ti be confused with the higher compliance 9TAHC version which tracks lighter.

Which brands make the best sounding replacement styli for the 9TA for tracking forces in the 4-5 gram range in heavier changer arms?

EVG, Pfanstiehl, Astatic, other?

A while back when I was curious about ceramics, there were some guys at vinylengine forums, and audioasylum with encyclopedic knowledge. Short of finding a sonotone original, or finding someone who has tried them all, you may want to just order one of each and see for yourself what's best - they aren't that expensive.
