I'm listening to Vol.3 of Tacet's 14 volume series of Haydn's complete string quartets. This volume features op.9, nos.1-6. The series is on CD, and it's recorded entirely with vintage tube microphones.
As for vinyl, tonight I enjoyed Todd Rundgren's A Wizard, A True Star, a fast-moving album comprising very short pop songs, from the master of pop, IMO.
Thanks stereolist! Those tubes would be real nice in my Jolida Cd player or Wright 200C phono preamp!
