I know there is an old thtread on AK somewhere about this album, but I can´t find it

Anyway, I listened to it when it came out, and enjoyed it, but I think I said in that thread that it was "nice background music".

I´m listening to it again right now and am really enjoying it, very nice music!

I´ll definately give it another listen someday using speakers instead of headphones.

Same with Gilmour's On an Island. The more I listen, the better I like them.

Gilmours rattle that lock is fantastic. Also his(DG) new live from Pompeii is done very well.

For me, Endless River is mostly good. I could do without another Stephen Hawking thing, and I do not like Polly's lyrics on the last song Sides 1-2 are my favorite overall. Still, nice to have a nice coda/tail-out from the guys.

That album just never gets off the ground. With each new song, you keep thinking - OK, this is where it's gonna get interesting. Unfortunately that never happens.

When the album came out, a reviewer on Amazin called it The Endless Bore. At the time, I felt that was a bit harsh. Now, I'm not sure I'm not in the same camp.

Maybe, like the OP, I should spin it again.
