Do you k ow what the little grey metal things are in middle of woofer?I'm missing one
I assume that's the main magnet pole piece for the woofer, although I think it would be strange to have two or more separate pieces stuck together to make one pole - did you pull the cone back on the "good" woofer and see two pieces? Maybe the metal pole on the "bad" woofer somehow shifted or had sunk backward and needs to be moved back so it matches the "good" woofer?

not that strange. Often in these smaller cabinets, manufacturers would add alum plugs to help with heat dissipation. One of the largest ones I have seen was used on the Naim SBL.
Ah ok, I'd never seen that before - maybe it's a British thing!
Well if you're missing that piece then I'd say the chances of finding just the replacement piece are slim - looks like you'd need to replace the whole woofer.
Thanks roger, but i think the one for the sp-2 v1 is the 2008, they have very similar specs though
That is a DQ10 tweet, was just trying it out. it is 4 ohm, I need 8 OhmsThose tweeters look exactly the same as the ones used on the Dahlquist DQ-10. 4 ohm Philips, if I recall. Can be replaced with almost any 4 ohm dome tweeter. The Fs is not that low and the dispersion lens won't really affect driver integration.
I think what he's saying is, the 2008 is no longer made and the 2010 is the replacement.
I think chances of that are almost as slim! lolAh ok, I'd never seen that before - maybe it's a British thing!

View attachment 929611 I was able to make the piece that was missing, which turns out to be a phase plug. Apparently it helps reduce certain frequencies from crossing paths from what I can understand. A lot of speakers use several different types of these.
I made 2 new ones since making one to match the gray plastic one that was there would be very difficult.
Besides I think mine look cooler, and they are held in place by the magnets using screws in the wooden dowel I used to make them. A little stain and voila! works perfectly and these sound amazing! Oh and I did get the tweeters from Solen, exact match Scan Speak D 2008.. View attachment 929593 View attachment 929594
