    Nice Beastie Boys reference.

Rest assured, as a guitarist of 30 years, I can confidently say that Vince is a beast.

Once had a girl, post-coitus, make a reference to my "organ" to a crowd of friends. I came right back at her, with an old Prince line "Honey, if my 'organ' seemed too small, it is because I was playing in a cathedral." It had the whole crowd knee-slapping and laughing.

As for the topic of this thread, I got a copy of Ray Charles, live in '64 at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and when he's warming up for "I Got A Woman"...talking to the crowd and such, he asks the crowd, "I want ya'll to know something..." and after a deep cleaning of the record, I THEN heard the reply "WHATS THAT, RAY?" from an audience member.

Blew my mind. Also, Lindsay Buckingham's gentle fingerpicking WAY in the background of "Songbird". Nice stuff.

I'm not sure how wild it was the way my parents did it.

Circular Circulation, by the GTO's. Girls Together Outrageously. A bunch of groupies who hung out with folks like Zappa and the Byrds in the mid 60's-early 70's.
The actual title was "Do Me In Once And I'll Be Sad, Do Me In Twice And I'll Know Better"
My apologies to Jimmy Webb, but as awful drek goes, this is even one step beyond MacArthur Park... The ONLY thing good about it is that it ends. Mercifully.

If you choose to look it up, you have been warned.

This has somehow veered from a thread about upgrading your system and hearing sounds you never heard before to a thread about music to be avoided at all costs.

    Gotta love it. Classic AK!

Speaking of Aja, I didn't notice the reverb used on the vocals of Black Cow until just recently. I first heard it while I was auditioning a new pair of speakers and was amazed "that I was hearing things I never heard before" though I can hear it no problem no matter what the source now. I guess it just never registered before for whatever reason.

It's understandable, given the thread title, "things that can't be unheard." Like things that can't be unseen...

Could you hear it as it fell or just when it landed?

Tip of the Hat to 427.

My listening space consists of a 52" Vizio monitor straddled by ADS 1290s. I played 427's video on full screen, his system is smack in between my speakers.

His speakers are 'cropped out' right where mine sit. The effect is uncanny, like I'm borrowing his stuff.

My Sansui alpha-X amp is probably boosting the sound quality of those Macs...:D
