Thanks for the 411, Worried Man. I gave 2012's The Idea of Beautiful a listen a few years ago and liked what I heard. The last genuine female rhymeslayer's we've had that didn't have to resort to gratuitous sexuality to move units were MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Jean Grae, and Sa-Roc. And that's a damn shame. I'll check out Laila's Wisdom A.S.A.P.The album has dropped but I'm looking forward to picking up a physical copy. Why do they have to make us wait even longer? Anyway, good stuff, I tell ya.
As the saying goes, "It's better late than never." I was more of a fan of The College Dropout, Late Registration, and Graduation. My favorite track from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is "All of the Lights," as he simply went apeshit on the beat during the latter half of the track. Kudos to an excellent pick by a not-so-great rapper but one of hip-hop's all-time greatest beat makers, hands down.I'm a late comer to Kanye West. Finally picked up an LP copy of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy yesterday. Blown away.
