Hey Charles
i have 2 of the sl1210's i bought new 18 years ago as i used to dj a bit,i won't part with them, the one i just put back in the system in the pics i just picked up from the tech yesterday arvo,i bought some of the KAB modifications that he fitted and gave it a full service, new platter/isolation mat and fitted it with the denon dl 301 mk2 cartridge,it sounds so much better than when it was stock and i was using ortofon dj carts, really happy with it
ps,
you photo's are not showing up for me mate
i got the fluid damping system, the kab/cardas spiralair low capacitance all litz coax rca interconnects (bit of a mouthful) that are already attached to a new upgrade pcb board and the sl1200 tonearm rewire set with kab super flex cable/wires.the tech did all the work as i just don't trust myself with stuff like this,it's funny cos i'm a plumber and work with my hands every day but this just seems like too delicate a work for me.Now.... about the KAB modifications though, what exactly have you got done to yours, and did the tech do this for you? Or did you do this yourself?
yes mate can see that oneOkay..... let's try this one....

i really would not bother with the standard mat mate.Standard Technics Platter Mat
