Just thought I would share

I absolutely love this little 14 watt push pull EL84 amplifier with matching AM/FM stereo tuner.
I also have the matching tube stereo reel to reel model 740

I bought it years ago for $160 with a 1416 mono FM tuner. I upgraded to the 1465 FM stereo tuner
This amplifier has a magnetic phono input

I recapped the amp and had the tuner FM multiplex serviced and they work just wonderfully great
I left the loudness circuit as original

All original tubes
EL84 and 6AU7

These little 2-way sterling bookshelf speakers sound sweet after a simple recap

No hum and all the pots track perfectly


I run all my vintage gear @ 110vac via a Variac. Vintage gear deserves vintage voltages
Really a great little sleeper amp that looks cool and sounds all EL84ish

That's pretty cool. Do you have pictures of the matching reel to reel?

Now all that's left to do is build a matching enclosure for that little cooling fan!

But I'm interested in the pair. I know we have a forum for "New Gear Values", but I'm not aware of any specific place to discuss vintage gear values. So forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask, but what do you reckon to be a fair value for the 1428 amp and 1465 tuner?
