Any ideas on the best setting?

My Grundig NF-10 can be used in 110V or 130V....

Someone had mentioned to me that it would be better to run my Telefunken S81 at 125V instead of 110V...

FWIW,,,, I rebuilt an RCA PA/movie amp that had three input voltages,,, it was set on 117V when I got it, but would red-plate the output tubes,,, I rewired the PT and FT for 130V and red-plating stopped... Line in around here climbs to 123V+ sometimes...

Only the Germans would have that amount of fine tuning. American standard is 120v, ± 6%. for a max of 127.2v.
Setting it at 125 or 130 might not be a bad idea.

America hasn't "officially" used 110 since 1968, it changed to 115v in the 30's. We bumped it up to 120 in '84. This is by NEC standards. The voltage can still vary but the max voltage isn't "allowed" to go higher than 127.

Perhaps set it for the highest voltage it is likely to 'see' ? (i.e 130V) - you'll have to live with the brown-outs.

Short answer 130v.
It will save you grief. It will work fine and you won't have high voltage issues
