I was a cream & sugar guy for decades and I couldn't drink it black until I started drinking good coffee. By good I mean MEDIUM roast single origin coffee from a local roaster about a week since roasted. Seek out a coffee shop that roasts in house and give it another go. Problem is it's as expensive - usually $16 for a 3/4 lb bag so I roast my own for about 40% of the cost.

If that's the case try Stumptown Roasters or Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders on line. I get my green coffee from Bodhi and have a friend that orders roasted from them at the holidays for gifting. When the owner isn't around he's buying coffee in country direct from the farmer. Very good stuff.

Wifey found this in this on closeout in a local grocery store right after Christmas, and bought it to save for Valentine's Day. We'll give one of them a try tonight.

Sometimes I will poach some pears.
    My niece likes them.
I have to throw away any food, so I reduce the leftover cinamon/sugar/pear water a bit and save it in a mason jar.
I ran out of cola yesterday to mix with some cheap spiced rum, and while looking for cola the pear water caught my eye in the fridge.
    OK. Better than nothing.
The pear water, a splash of extra vanilla, a bit of extra water, and the rum go in a glass with some ice. Hmmm.
A bit more vanilla to adjust things, a bit more rum to compensate....

    Holy cow! Eureka!
I could hurt myself with this.

I may need intervention later, but right now I need more pears.

I wish Bell’s was distributed out here - I’ve heard good things about 2 Hearted and Hopslam.

    It's good stuff.

Both are excellent. I'm sure you are seeing your fair share of delicious brew in your area!
