This album contains the best song I've yet to hear regarding alcoholism. My wife was raving about it and asked me to give it a listen. I'm glad I did.

My first exposure to this work was the rendition by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as conducted by Herbert von Karajan. I was head over heels. A few months later, I'd hear this performance from Montreal's symphonic orchestra as conducted by Charles Dutoit and was simply transported to another galaxy. I've gotten deep into classical during the past couple of years and this one is still in my top three. Excellent pick, excellent recording, and a stupendous performance. This is one of those recordings I'll violate my playback rule for and push to 75-80 dbA while listening.
