Yoakam's best effort in my honest opinion. The pinnacle of his musical career.
Difference being for me is that Guitar's, Cadillacs, etc. is pretty much straight forward country, and This Time is more experimental. If ever an album could be called Prog Country it would be DY's This Time. (imho) It's the Pete Anderson production kicking into high gear. It could be heard more and more with each album.It's pretty damn good, no doubt about it. I do love Guitars, Cadillacs, etc. also. Hard choice.
