Made a run to habitat and came away with a few. The Columbia are both 6 eye, one red label and one black. NEVER seen a black 6 eye before.

For the longest time I'd thought they'd named themselves after the former Red Sox hall of famer. They were actually named YAZOO, but for legal reasons in North America they shortened it to YAZ.

I just now discovered that making DAT recordings directly from my iPad with high resolution setting makes stunning recordings of Spotify, when used with only my blue tooth receiver between the iPad and the DAT machine.

Note: The Bomb does a real nice cover of Flock of Seagulls' song SPACE AGE LOVE SONG.

  8. Not worried about dropouts at all? I use BT, but I kind of hate it...

So far really good synergy between all the moving parts. I'll keep you posted on any dropout updates

Well, there is a Yazoo City in Mississippi. Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

Upon further research there was a music label named YAZOO RECORDS. There lied the conflict.

  17. I remember the second one. I listened to the first one most of the way through, and it seems incredibly influenced by a minimalist/musique concrete piece I've heard by Stockhausen.
