Congrats on the new speakers, Jim. Enjoy!
Your search is over.
The adventure continues:
A variety of works that showcase Hi-Fi. I actually have the Mono LP of this as well.
Remastered in DSD, RCA Box Set 1 Disc No.24
Nice, congrats! I was always curious about that model and generally love EPIs.
Blind Melon -"Change" from Blind Melon
A change of pace for me. Nothing, metallic, classical, or country about this. A band from the edges of 90's era Brit Pop.
Kind of like a more progressive rock version of Oasis. Very British.
Mansun ~ Attack Of The Grey Lantern
1997 Epic EK 67935
Black Sabbath -"Hand of Doom" from Paranoid
Frank, I did not glue it, they are actually both older Expedit units and seem a shade more robust than the Kallax
They hardware on mine really locks it up tight...I think where the trouble begins is standing them up as opposed to horizontal...as far as record storage...a backer board is a great idea and that's where I think glue would be more effective..
I love mine, and by the way new kallax's are only 69.00 bucks
thanks, they do sound good. was well worth the short trip...
I love the beat Ian plays right before Ritchie loses his mind. The crowd looks like they don't know what to do.
I’ve been using discogs to keep track. But like you said that doesn’t help telling me where they’re at. I’ll probably mess around on the cpu and come up with a spreadsheet that will do both....
thanks fuzz, i was surprised with the amount of base these little guys throw out, i listened to Chicago by his house off the tt.. Hotel Cali. and it was nice. always sounds better off the tt. happy camper
Lol... nah! Doubt she would
I concur Jim, I usually like any Living Stereo recordings, a true golden age.
Thanks, Jason. I'll be picking up my BH&G knockoff on the way out to Valentine's Day dinner with my bewedded..
I can't see gluing every joint. Seems like it could get messy quick. Speedy said he glued to dowels in place. I can see benefit in that.
If IKEA did free shipping I'd have rolled with them. From what I've read the BH&G 8 cube is a very capable unit. It will be horizontal with my gear on top.
now to go get the stupid big ones. i figure if G L buys 1 and i buy 1 we can get together and make some noise.....
I started off using 1”X2” spanning length of the kallax to keep records uniformed and the extra support. But I didn’t like seeing the wires behind it. So I added a piece of scrap plywood to close it off. Then I painted it the color of the walls behind it to match.... can’t even tell I did it. I’ll take a pic of it this evening and post it for you.
there she is, man i can't wait till i get mine. almost painful to see... lol
