Holy shit what a movie this is - blew me away. Green Room by the same director is also shocking at times and very in your face.

I love a lot of the Kaufman movies - Human Nature is underrated genius and Paul Giamatti is awesome in Cold Souls

I had zero expectations for Blue Ruin. Blown away is a good term for it, especially the Eve Plumb scene at the end. Thanks for the on Green Room, will check it out.

Its not up to the same level as Blue Ruin IMO - but still feels very "small". It also features Anton Yelchin who is great and who unfortunately died soon after.

Another "small film" that Yelchin was excellent in was "Rudderless" (also starring Billy Crudup, Wm. H. Macy, Lawrence Fishburne, and Selena Gomez). Definitely worth watching....
