What I learned on Craigslist

Is that anything like market for HPM 150's now (assuming not crappy looking). I have some HPM parts that should be also up in value....

I have no idea, but an asking price on CL doesn't have to be 'market' and often isn't.

There is 1 completed auction on the bay: $1750. Fully working I assume.

One of my favorite CL terms is 'Chester Drawers'. :p So I decided to use the nationwide CL search site to see how many Chester Drawers are for sale today. I found about 8 of them. All but two were in Southern states - KY, TN, AL, GA. The two outliers were in Omaha and Boise. Probably people who moved from down South. Boise was actually "chester, drawers". :dunno: Tell yew whut. :bigok:

I try to accommodate people the best I can when I'm selling something, but I learned that some will take it ridiculous lengths if they can.

Not audio related, so stop here if you don't want to read any more.

I get a bite on a car with a bad head gasket that I'm trying to sell. (obviously NOT available to anyone here, due to rules)

I exchange a few emails, this summed them up:
Can you take pictures of the rocker panels? Sure. Did it.
Will you take any less money because the one rocker has a little rust? I'll knock $50 off.
Can you take the title to the notary and have them OK it to be transferred? I knew and told him the title was fine, but did it anyways.

I talk to him on the phone, which goes like this:
I live almost 2 hours away, and don't want to make a trip to even look at the car, unless I know it is worth it. Can you take a bunch more pictures? I think: Not really my problem, but OK.
Will the car pass PA inspection? I don't know, maybe.
I live far away and don't have money to gamble with unless I know for sure what is wrong with it, can I pull the plugs and start pissing with the engine?
I can't get there to do the title transfer during the notary's business hours. Can you try to get them to open and do it on another time?o_O

I should have just said NO, but I didn't want to get upset and argue with him, so I said sure just to get him off the phone. I obviously won't be taking any more calls or emails from him.

All of that for a POS car that I have listed for $500.

I would imagine you're probably a helluva nice guy. Your post sorta rubbed me the wrong way though.
