What McIntosh Gear Are You Using?

New here all I can say is wow some of the systems here are just incredible!!
My modest set-up is new and vintage mix
Mc2105
Mc2505
Bi amped
C504 pre
Men220
Thorens td 160
Marantz tt-15
Crites cornscala speakers

My first McIntosh gear will be one year old tomorrow and goes like this:

MC240 tube amp
C26 preamp recapped

And since a few months:

C32 préamp mint

But I prefer the C26 sound and controls. Very clean and musical.

My simple rig has a
MC452 amp
C47 pre

other sources are 2 turntables, cassette, CD player, CD recorder/player and streaming.

Very happy with this system and the flexibility of the pre. Being able to set the load on the phono carts is nice. I had a MC275 VI before this amp and liked the switch.

also a forum noob.. MX119 and MC7106 bridged 3 channel for the front end. I just splurged on an MC452 today for L/R.. Hopefully the store is still delivering tomorrow. I'm not sure the butterflies are from excitement or the generous amount of money money I plunked down... thinking it's more excitement!

In main stereo/5.1 system: C33 preamp, MC2150 power amp driving sub and center
[Pioneer M-25 drives L/R mains; C33 monitor amp drives L/R surrounds; Oppo BDP-105 functions as 5.1 digital preamp]

In living room system: MX117 tuner/preamp, MC502 power amp

In bedroom system: MR500 tuner

An estate sale surprise demanded that I become the owner of the later version of the 1700, the guy who I bought the receiver from thought he had purchased an Integra Surround Sound Receiver because that's how the sealed box was labeled.
My MAC is headed to the doctor for some relatively minor surgery, it's going to have preamp outs & main ins for the Japanese version of the
FX Audio preamp / tube buffer. They are going on the current Tape In & Out RCA jacks because it means no drilling.
I listen and enjoy music many hours a day and the MAC is a true treat.

My current Hodgepodge setup: HH Scott LK 150 amp, McIntosh MX 117 pre/tuner, Marantz CD6005, Thorens TD 124 with Sony SS-M3 speakers. A blending of old/new, tube/SS. Interestingly, the MX 117 is the newest member to the team and a welcome addition it is! Sorry about the slightly blurry pic-I used "Night Sight" on my phone camera in complete darkness to highlight the tubey glow.

Not in play at the moment: (several are goodwill/CL finds in need of TLC) MA 5100; MC 225, MC 2105; C20, C26, C28, C29; MR 65, MR77, MR80;
MAC 4100, MAC 4275.

Do you like the C47? Using a Rotel rc 1507 with my Mc 302(balanced)and Mc 225(unbalanced input). The c47 has the functionality I’m looking for, your thoughts on the phono preamp?

Any suggestions on bookshelf speakers to match with my MXA70 50-watt integrated? The ones I am glancing at are the Bowers and Wilkins 706 S2, Dynaudio Special 40 (although I don't think the MXA70 has enough power for these), Joseph Audio Prism... any others? The MXA70 states 8 ohm only. I suppose I could stretch that to 6 ohms as long as it was above 86db sensitivity, but 4 ohm speakers are out. I really do like my Polk S15's, but am investigating something better. Thoughts?

Very nice setups in here. I just finished (mostly) re-organizing everything. I've got one more thing to do and i'll post some new pics.

Hi everyone, I been really enjoying this system for about 6mos and know I need to send out the C11 for service repair just from age. Its sounds great but I am sure it hasn't been touched in decades.

My question is what was the preamp Mac of the era most commonly used with the MC2105? Or what would be best match up with great phono section? I would like to stick to Mac but wouldn't exclude Marantz, Conrad, AR or something of the period.

Cost is always a consideration so "bang for the buck" always is important to me as I've built this system on a budget over the years of trades etc.

Thanks
Jeff
