I'm not saying this is a "great" album by any means, but this is one of the reasons why searching for obscure rock keeps me coming back. This album is funky and lo-fi as heck, but I just love hearing different interpretations of what rock & roll was in other parts of the globe during this era. It's instantly recognizable as rock & roll, but it's SO different! Oftentimes, there is a traditional musical signature from the region they are from that influences the sound of the rock & roll they play. If you're able to have an open mind and an open ear, it can be different, enjoyable and even refreshing to listen to their take on what rock & roll was to them.

As funky as this album is, I think this album is an example of that. This is what rock & roll was for this band in Turkey in that point in time. You can hear a Middle Eastern singing influence to some of the lyrics and I find their take on what rock & roll was to them to be interesting. Not an album I'd listen to all the time, but I think it's well worth listening to.

^Man, I don't care what anyone says, but the vocals in song #11 above (starting at 34:19) are catchy as hell. lol I have no idea what the heck he is saying, but I love the vocals in that one. I'm listening to it for the third time in a row now.

Here's something a little different. This is a compilation of Vietnamese rock, soul and psych from 1968-'74. Right during the height of the Vietnam war. There is actually some decent stuff in here, but for the love of eardrums, some of this has to be the harshest, most forward-sounding recording "quality" I have ever heard in my life! o_O Again, if you are able to have an open ear and an open mind to some of this stuff, some of it is worth listening to. Heck, if you can get past the atrocious recording quality, the guitar playing on the first song alone is worth the price of admission.
