Craigslist 1241 I got this week with a new Steuerpimpel from 14 AWG insulation. Has hum from the right channel when there's no signal.

You’ll get it sorted. My 1245 has some contacts that I think are supposed to mute it when arm gets to a certain spot (I think- don’t remember); they could need cleaning.
I’d also make sure that cartridge pins, clips and sled pins are very clean..

Cleaned most of the cart pins yesterday, still one to do. Hum is weird, disappears when the arm moves to the record.
