Found a Dual 1249 in near mint condition yesterday, put in the V15 III LM with Jico SAS, sounds great! Also picked up a Braun Pcs5 recently, but it still needs some extra TLC!

Look at my new toy from Japan. (Technics SL-1600mk2) I'm happy like a little boy.
The armlift is stuck in up position, all buttons need relubing, belt needs changing and gear has a crack. And silver wire waits to be installed in the tonearm. Looks like i have work to do this weekend.

It is made in september 1980 so for 39 year old guy with stock tonearm wires, it sounds shockingly great!!

Even with old stanton 500 cart and replacement eliptical stylus from Jico i haven't heard such bass and details from an LP in a while.

Excellent, one of their better, latter, somewhat parts bin specials. I don't mean any insult by that it's just some of the later offerings were, erm, challenging sometimes. If I remember there was a odd belt/idler drive arrangeent going on which worked quite well.

Yes it's not bad .
At least I took it out of the bin and into service.
