Windows 10, DLNA, and Equalizer APO

I've been using Equalizer APO (with the PEACE interface) on my laptop for a while, playing locally stored audio using a cabled connection or via Bluetooth to the amplifier, with great satisfaction. I'm expanding my audio coverage and am looking at using a Wi-Fi connection, with the inbuilt DLNA server in Windows 10 to a Chromecast Audio or similar device. I do not yet have a Chromecast to test with and my concern is whether Equalizer APO is catered for in this type of output/connection. Can someone here let me know?

Probably not. The equalizer will work on "local" audio...but streaming to a Chromecast is different.

CCA is the streaming device. You can control it from your laptop thru your google home page. Not sure about your EQ working.

From what I can tell on the EQ..it acts like a "man in the middle"...taking the audio, equalizing it, and then spitting it out to Windows. In fact, it even states if you're using anything other than Windows Shared mode for WASAPI, it won't work.

APO is catered to local sound devices. It won't EQ your Chromecast.
