Yamaha A-960 shuts down when disc button is pressed

First post to audiokarma, long time lurker. I've had lots of help from this forum, thanks for all the great info. I have acquired a Yamaha A-960 with the burnt out bulbs and repaired it via the info on this site. Sounds great and everything seems fine except when I press the disc button, the unit shuts down. Anybody have any ideas on where I could start looking?

See if there is DC voltage present on the output of the phono preamp.

Hello

when I press the disc button, the unit shuts down.
What do you mean ?
power is OFF ?
protection relay is desactivate and output of the amplifier is disconnected from speakers and the power stay on ? does the DISC green light is on ?
