"You Don't Know What The Hell Is Going On" Game

Chicago Transit Authority was a group of homeless musicians that set up and played at various stops along the Ell. Since they had no access to shelter, everybody wondered how the brass section kept their horns so shiny and Danny Seraphine's drums kept from warping on rainy nights. The secret was that a kindly maintenance worker had given them access to a storage closet in the maintenance shed. The band was so overcome with emotion that they unanimously decided to call themselves "Hubert Higby" in tribute to the worker, but after several months of limited professional success, they decided to simply re-name themselves in honor of his employer.

Hubert Higby was so impressed with the musicians he met that he took up music lessons and became proficient on the trumpet. He changed his name to Tijuana Brass and ended up putting out some albums with his brother-in-law, Herb Alpert.
