Professional assessment of 50 Amplifiers

Wouldn't have results on Technics SU-8080? Just bought it today used for 45€. I would really like to know if this was a good deal! Thanks in advance!
 
Don't worry - that was a good deal (providing it works) - good amp - it was on my short list - then I discovered Sansui - the rest is history :D

Will post scan in a day or two, maybe sooner...

Also, thanks for welcoming me to Audiokarma! I've been reading it as anonymous for some time, and I think very highly of it. It's seems this is a great gathering place for likely-minded people.

I ended up getting the amp for free. Now that's a great bargain. ;-)

The SU-8080 sounds very nice and it's easy to listen to. Needs some small maintenance on the knobs but works OK.
 
And just to finish this off - here is the comparison chart of all the amplifiers. Especially for LinuxGuru - who has been enquiring about this.

I've been into hifi since my teens and I'm now 48! Time obviously flies when you listen to music.
 
OKay, so all the reviews are being asked for 1 by 1 so I'll ask for the Yamaha CA-610. It wil be interesting to see if it comes close to my personal impressions of the 2 I own. Interesting to see that the Arcan pair is the Crown IC150A and D150A. Thank you for the time taken to do the scans. Not as an easy task as one would think.

John, thank you very much. One of the recommended models. Interesting. I wonder what the differences are between the 610 and 610II other than the loudness contour system.
