You don't have to be BECAUSE WE GOT THEM OUT!!! It was my dad's genius!!! He clamped a long piece of wood with two clamps onto the front of them that pushed down onto the front of the horn via another smaller piece of wood. POP goes the EV T350!

Also, they are 8 ohm drivers!!!
 
Horn pullers! Can you post pics of the horn puller rig?

Edit: They would actually be horn pressers, I expect.

Lololol, no I'm not getting any sleep or food. I also haven't had breakfast today and its already 3:30. We stayed up until 2 in the morning finishing the grill getting them perfect (my mom did 90% of the work honestly) then we did the second grill this morning. They look great!

I also braced these with a piece of wood across the middle, and painted it black. But not before I embedded four magnets into each which are hidden by the fabric.

That color hlue is "electric"! Certainly one of my most favorite, grabs your eyes then the speakers grabs your ears- how great is THAT!

They are VERY nicely done. I can't wait to show them off at the DIY convention.

Here is the crossover board. We are going to mount the binding posts right in the middle there rather than at the base. I am also going to bypass the Dayton 1% poly caps with Clarity SA caps and there will be some mundorf resistors on there as well as bracing so this board will be more crowded soon.

Just stumbled across this thread. That is a really impressive restoration. More than that, though, it's really making me wish my dad didn't live 7 hours away, as he's into vintage audio, too. Nice work!
 
Welll, I made it down there today and we got a lot done!

I have to say, Will's mom did such a great job on those grills! They look even better in person. We almost finished sanding the speakers, except for one side of one of the speakers.

But, anyway everything is going according to plan, so hopefully we may be done by mid to late august.
