Speakerlab Seven restoration

Here it is, the crossover:

It looks messy, but it works. This is what the inside of my brain looks like if it were a crossover.
The short black wires sort of laying in the middle will go to the negative terminal of the speakers. The binding posts will be located where those two holes are.
I haven't put the red input wire in yet, but it will go to the base of the large inductor and the smaller cap.

The two blue wires coming out of the big inductor are positives for the woofers, I am leaving those alone with the smaller gauge wire, but I'm bumping up the negative wires with 16 gauge and new spades.
 
I know anything is for sale if the price is right. But once you're done, is your heart set on keeping the speakers?

Okay, got both crossovers soldered in and glued in. The only thing left to do is to install the woofer negative wires but I need to get appropriate spades for those.
 
So its been brought to my attention that if I replaced the EV-t350s with the titanium tweeters from Bob Crites, that the money left over from the sale of the T350s would pay for most of this project... AND we would not have to modify the cabinets to front mount them...

These speakers are set to be kept in the family. If I were to sell these ever, I would sell them to Will.

But that won't happen. :D

Uh, like we are gonna sell the EV-T350s. No, I say we just modify the cabinets to front mount them is all I say. I want them to be all original.

Logic fail. None of the rest of the speaker is original, especially not the cabinet.
It would be silly not to sell these and use the money to buy the replacements for around $160, AND pay off for ALL of the other money we have put into the whole speaker.

Think about it, free speakers that would be BETTER than the ones that you would pay hundreds of dollars for (if you didn't sell them)
 
Laith brought down his Kenwood KA9100+tuner cabinet and stripped the veneer off this time using a heat gun (I feel stupid for not doing that before now)
We are going to veneer it in zebrawood from the leftover 10 square feet.

This the first time I've looked at this thread. It seems that you'll both be done in time for the Mercer Island Meet! I'd like to express my admiration for the determination and drive you guys have shown while working on your projects, not to mention the level of craftsmanship.
