Sansui 210 coming along well...

I listened to some righteous blues while making a batch of tacos tonite, my kitchen Sansui 210 plays along.....:music:

Hi, I got my lamps today, I installed them and they look dimmer than the 8v lamps I had in there? I looked at the new parts, WRONG! they sent 12v instead of 6v! Bagged wrong.. PE is usually pretty good. Disappointed.:scratch2:

Oh well I have to wait and see what they can do..

Thanks,
John.:music::D

I wrote to the Customer Service Dept. about their mistake and reordered the lamps a 2nd time. Maybe that will right this time.

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Please post some pictures of the ongoing work - or the completion - thats a nice receiver - good to see someone taking the trouble with such a lowly piece.

The tuner works better than my 5000a did...I like to refurb these just to see how good they sound.

Thanks,

The Sansui 210 is a fine little reciever. A couple of friends, and my cousin had em many years ago, in their 70's heyday. Hard to believe they were only 10wpc. Mark

Still waiting for the next shipment of lamps...:scratch2:

I have been playing this for a week now, sounds good with the cheap speakers.

Thanks,
John.:music::D

OK, I put the chassis in the enclosure, there is this hum? So I take it out again, it goes away?? Then I notice if you lift the left side up there is a hum?:scratch2:

So, I turn it over looking at the chassis when I push the face up/down. The ground lugs that were soldered to the PCB are cracked away! I resoldered them and a few other things I saw while in solder mode!

All good now.. Again...:banana:

Congratulations on completing a very nice restoration :thmbsp:
:tresbon:

Thank you, is was fun and I learned by doing. I am playing Cd's now, the solder repair has made a tremendous difference in the sound clarity.

I am using a Onkyo DX-C380 and bench speakers...:yes:

Thanks,
John.:music::D
