latest discovery , HITACHI FT 4000 , i can't belive it , this unit is very sensitive on FM , i don't use an antenna and my signal meter is above 4 units , maximum is 5 , i live far away from the city ...........

this morning i am listening to XPoNential Radio on WFYI 90.1 HD2 (The Point) great mix of familiar and unknown music in Hi Fi
 
Listening to KXPR, the local Classical station, on the Harman Kardon Slimline SL-1012. Rescued this from the GW the other day, replaced the dial lamps, added speaker jacks (came with wires hanging out the back). It's gonna need some TLC on the veneer, and maybe even a replacement dust cover.

Think I'll drop it off at the SPCA thrift - gear doesn't get destroyed by employees or customers there. Someone will give it some love; it's not much in the way of hi-fi, but it's pretty cool Mid-Century Modern design.

When I spin the dail it is on a Pioneer TX-9500 and usually on 101.1 "The Fox" classic rock always in the wide bandwidth mode.

KPFA 94.1 in Berzerkley CA. Dirk Richardson is the host. I just scored a Denon TU-1500RD for $50 bucks and I'm exorcizing it on my Sansui 9090 on the work bench. So far, it's living up to it's reputation, very sensitive and selective in stock condition. I have a piece of speaker wire strung up in the garage for an antenna, and it's picking up this station which is about 80 miles away from Monterey.
 
Mixed Orchestral Repertoire from WHRB and WGBH

I am, per usual, jumping between a lot of stations but this afternoon's orchestral programming comes from WHRB 95/3 on the Nikko Gamma V (please, don't feel obligated to kneel) and WGBH 89/7/HD2 on the Sony XDR-F1HD.

weekend all things considered here as well on my Sony XDR-F1HD on wrvo, clear as a bell, 60 miles away at 89.9, cozily nuzzled in between two locals at 89.7 and 90.1

Pulling it in with my Marantz 2238B.
Great weekend mix of classic rock.

Listening to 933FLZ Tampa , Florida, 130 miles away, in Cape Coral, Fl....on my 1963 KNIGHT KG 50 am/fm stereo tuner....(recently restored) sounds awesome, great stereo seperation, and sound......10 Tubes.......
