Basic Office System - Update Oct 2014

I've had this up and running for a few months now. Changed the speakers around a few times.

Speakers: My own design using Seas prestige drivers: Tweeter 29TFF/W and Mid/Woofer: L15TLY/P. Crossover is a 2nd order bessel at 2.1kHz. Sensitivity is about 81dB. 7L sealed enclosure.

Stands: 24" Sansus NF

Amplifier: Teac A-H01 Dac/Integrated amplifier.

Thanks. I won the drivers at a DIY meet last year and they turned out to work well together. The tweeter is the same one used by Ascend in the Sierra 1. I was kind of shocked that they sound good considering I designed them using simmed measurements from published Seas plots. That and I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff.

Thankfully there's some great freeware to help with designing. Even the driver placements on the baffle were accounted for to help align phase and minimize diffraction. I wish I could have done a better job on the sensitivity but the woofer's break up is nasty and needed to be beat into submission then the tweeter attenuated as a result. :)

Just an update. Took the Teac home and brought in my Pioneer A-20. Added a Meridian Explorer Dac and some ebay special Choseal cables for a little bling :D.

Liking the way this combo sounds. Very forgiving of crappy recordings and a hard room.
